GEORGIA AAPI TASK FORCE
2012 SE Reg. Action WHIAAPI Report
The Georgia AAPI Task Force is comprised of volunteers from various groups who have long been involved in local AAPI issues in Georgia. In March 2012, our group of dedicated organizers coordinated the hugely successful Southeast Regional Action Summit for the White House Initiative on AAPIs (WHIAAPI) at Emory University, attended by over 500 community members. The Committee providing logistics, planning, programming and support for the White House Initiative on AAPIs, and delivered a written report to the WHIAAPI Commissioners for 2012 May APA Heritage Month in Washington, DC. Capitalizing on that cameraderie and passion, we organized the 2013 Georgia AAPI Legislative Day on Feb. 28, 2013, bringing the largest number of AAPIs to the Georgia Capitol in history.
